Big Brother star fears Jeremy Clarkson pub ban after sharing savage £26 roast review

Big Brother star Henry Southan admitted he fears he’ll be banned from Jeremy Clarkson’s pub after posting a less-than-glowing review during a Father's Day visit.

The 26-year-old took his dad to the Farmer’s Dog near Burford in Oxfordshire on Sunday but shared his disappointment with both the food and the parking situation in a TikTok video that’s quickly picked up traction.

In the clip, Southan joked it felt like “arriving at Glastonbury” as he trekked from an overflow car park to the pub.

He shared: “This better be the best roast I have ever eaten to justify the pain of just parking and getting here. I am being a proper moaner right now I'm sorry but it's just crazy.”

The ITV star later added as he approached the pub: "There is a massive queue out the door — do I have to queue in that even if I have a reservation for now?"

After being seated, Southan, who does food reviews for social media, didn’t hold back once it came time for his review of the food.

Sampling a £26 pork and beef roast, he commented: “You were right about the beef — it is really dry!”

He then added: “The pork is also really dry,” while pointing out the lack of crispiness in the roast potatoes.

The reality star then was left baffled when a piano rendition of the EastEnders theme began playing inside the pub.

The video sparked speculation among fans that he may be added to Clarkson’s so-called “banned list” of critics unwelcome at the Diddly Squat premises — a remark Southan leaned into himself.

The TikTok user remarked: "not the search being 'Jeremy Clarkson pub banned list'" to which Southan replied: “I fear I'm next” alongside a skull-emoji.

Earlier this month, Clarkson banned a customer from his Oxfordshire pub after they complained about paying £24 for a pie and vegetables.

“Thought @JeremyClarkson wanted an affordable pub for customers,” the diner posted on X. “£24 for pie and veg is a bit much.”

Another user chimed in, suggesting that cheaper US beef imports would help lower prices, adding: “Dead weight for British beef is far too expensive £6.89/kg for R4L down from the record high £6.98/kg earlier in the month.

“I can't wait till we get US beef cuts here because British beef industry is now taking the piss at those prices.”

Clarkson’s reply was short and sharp: “You are now banned from the pub.”

This isn’t the first time the broadcaster has blacklisted individuals from his establishment.

Past figures barred from his pub include Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Clarkson’s former Top Gear co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond — though those bans are widely assumed to be tongue-in-cheek.

Clarkson has previously defended the pub’s prices by emphasising his commitment to using only British ingredients and supporting local farmers — even if that means omitting popular products like ketchup, coffee, lemonade or Coca-Cola from the menu.
