The controversial romance between Colin Ridley and Holly Young completely took over this year’s season of Big Brother Australia. While the unlikely pair hit it off from the get-go, their fellow housemates repeatedly called them out for both their constant PDA and separation from the group (make that make sense).
While time will tell whether these two lovebirds continue their relationship in the outside world, Colin’s mum, Vanessa, has weighed in ahead of Monday night’s finale. She told PEDESTRIAN.TV that she’s incredibly proud of her son’s experience on the reality show and she’s all for his newfound romance.

“I’m glad he has gone for what he has wanted, gone after a lovely woman. That has surprised me,” she said.
“Normally, he is quite reserved and shy. Something about Holly has brought that out of him and he must have wanted it because he has gunned for it and I couldn’t be happier for him.”
Colin’s mum shares why she doesn’t watch every episode
Watching her son on-screen hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows, however, as Vanessa admitted that there have been “stressful” moments this season that have made her turn away.
“It’s a little bit stressful only because I know him so well,” she remarked. “When he is upset, if I feel something is unjust, I can’t do anything about it.
“I have chosen to only watch nominations and evictions — my friends update me on what I need to know.”

Coco’s mum reveals why she deserves to win

Vanessa isn’t the only proud parent this season, as Coco Beeby’s mum, Pam, told P.TV that watching Big Brother has been an “emotional roller coaster”.
“We are proud of how brave she is,” she gushed. “It can be stressful, wondering how she will be judged by the public. It’s definitely something the whole family talks about.”
Pam added that Coco deserves to win the $135,000 prize because she’s “the full package”.
“She’s been true to herself with heart, humour and honesty. She’s played the game with integrity, kindness and strength. Authentically entertaining and uplifting,” she said.
Bruce’s mum spills on his journey in the house
Meanwhile, Bruce Dunne’s mum, Heidi, told P.TV that it’s been “a little overwhelming watching Bruce live his life in front of Australia”.

“Not a lot has surprised us as Bruce has genuinely been himself from day one — the good, the bad and the ugly,” she said. “We would love him to win, of course! If for no other reason than he was brave enough to put himself out there and be the true blue Aussie guy that he is.”
Colin, Coco and Bruce will go up against fan faves Allana Jackson and Emily Dale in Monday night’s grand finale.
Who will win? The finale goes down tonight and we’re expecting chaos.
The Big Brother grand finale airs 7.30pm tonight on 10.
