While Sunday night’s episode introduced a massive plot twist to the Big Brother Australia reboot, it also shed light on a nasty interaction between house mother Allana and controversial housemate Holly.

To give you a quick recap, earlier this week, Holly (as head housemate) was tasked with throwing a VIP party. Four housemates were forced to work — Mia, Edward, Conor and Vinnie — which caused issues and the rest were allowed to enjoy the shindig.
Further into the night, the party guests — which consisted of Allana, Coco, Colin, Holly, Emily, Bruce, Jane and Abiola — were invited to watch a movie.
However, during the movie night, Allana revealed to Coco that Holly made some comments about Emily.

According to Allana, Holly’s comments were along the lines of observing how Emily was enjoying movie night and insinuating that she’s never been invited to a party outside of the Big Brother Australia house.
“Imagine never being invited to the cool kids’ party like ever,” Holly said to Allana about Emily in a throwback clip of the movie night.

Upon hearing this information, Coco burst into tears for Emily, stating she was “the nicest girl” in the house.
“I hate people saying shit like that, it’s bullshit,” Coco said.
“Emily is the nicest girl.
“I’d rather Emily than her any day of the week.”

Coco, overwhelmed, took to the Diary Room and revealed she was calling a family meeting to address the hurtful comments. Minutes later, Coco successfully called her meeting, where she admitted to “bawling my eyes out” over Holly’s comments without identifying the housemates involved.
“We are all equals,” Coco said.
“It makes me sad, it makes me really sad.”

After the meeting, Holly asked Coco about the comment, and they discussed what she said about Emily during movie night.
In response, Holly insisted she “never” said anything about Emily. Instead, Holly claimed she made the comment because she wanted Emily to enjoy the movie night after giving up the New York-sized pizza to the house last week.
“I would never say anything like that,” Holly insisted.

As tensions continued to rise in the Big Brother house over Holly’s comment, Allana decided to come clean about what she told Coco, which then led to a mini argument.
When Allana tried to reiterate what Holly said, Holly denied she mentioned anything about Emily not being invited during her schooling life and insisted she was referring to Emily’s occupation as a school teacher, which upset Allana.

“I have seen you do this in days on days where you’re putting your opinions on people,” Allana pointed back.
“You’ve just accused me of changing statements,” Allana continued.
After a bit of back and forth, Holly and Allana hugged it out before the episode rolled into live eliminations.
Fans react to Coco’s family meeting and Holly’s comments in the Big Brother House
Overall, fans were praising Coco for taking the initiative to stamp out bullying within the house.

Others have also praised Allana for confronting Holly, who attempted to dodge the comments she made about Emily.

With Holly’s head housemate status coming to an end — and her immunity to nominations gone — it’ll be interesting to see how long she will stay in the house because she’s seemingly ruffled a bunch of feathers across the board.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
