Big Brother bosses 'reaching out to influencers' for next series

Big Brother bosses are allegedly reaching out to influencers and people with followings for the next series.

The next series of Big Brother will be dropping sometime in 2023 but fans are already hyped at the thought of more late-night reality madness. The show has birthed legendary moments on the backs of everyday citizens that have gone down in infamy and even launched a few careers.

Though not much is known about what the revival series will entail - even who is hosting - Big Brother producers allegedly already have their hands busy with casting. Former housemate Hughie Maughan from series 17 initially leaked the show's return before the teaser trailer aired along with some insider knowledge.

He told his followers in a Facebook post about the show's revival and, in the comment section, said: "It is, my friend was contacted for the show." Big Brother fans have pleaded with producers to go back to the old-school casting process of everyday people being cast but the show's casting team seem to have other plans in mind.

A source told the Liverpool ECHO the Big Brother casting team is currently reaching out to people on with large followings to see if they're interested in the new series. The source said: "I know they're contacting people on Instagram.

"They've messaged a few people with big followings to see if they're interested. I'd prefer it went back to the old way but they've been in touch with a couple of people I know."

The Liverpool ECHO has reached out to ITV for comment

Currently, the favourite to host the new series is Alison Hammond after fighting off fierce competition from the previous winner Rylan Clark. Both presenters have a close relationship with ITV and competed on the show but producers have made no clear sign as to which star they're leaning toward.
