The Bhumjaithai Party expects to win the majority of MP seats in Bangkok under its "Bangkok-Convenience" policy that aims to give residents more access to digital technology in the capital.
Party leader, Anutin Charnvirakul, made the bold statement when announcing the flagship policy yesterday.
He said the party would be fielding candidates in all Bangkok's constituencies for the first time.
He said he hopes Bangkok voters will like the policy specially designed for them to make use of digital technology to improve work efficiency especially when they are stuck in traffic commuting each day.
However, Mr Anutin did not go into details.
He said under the same policy a free-of-charge co-working space in each sub-district in Bangkok will be established.
The party will seek cooperation from both state agencies and the private sector to help invest in it with a tax reduction proposal.
He also said private and government office workers should be allowed to work from home one day a week to help ease traffic congestion in the capital and save on travelling costs.
"Working at home will really help reduce traffic jams, expenditure costs, pollution and energy by 25%," Mr Anutin said.
