BGT’s Ella Shaw unveils dramatic transformation seven years after making ITV final

Britain's Got Talent child star Ella Shaw has unveiled a dramatic transformation to fans years after making her ITV debut and starring in the finale episodes of the show in 2015.

Ella shot to fame on the ninth series of the ITV show, aged just 18.

The now 25-year-old wowed judges Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, Amanda Holden and David Walliams at the time.

She gave a songbird’s rendition of her own original anthem Summertime and played the piano as she sang the tune.

After the rousing performance, the teenager received a standing ovation from the audience and was described as a “mega talented” by tough cookie Simon.

Ella made it through to the semi-finals, where she performed Rozalla's Everybody's Free, but narrowly missed out on a place in the final.

After her Britain’s Got Talent sting, Ella continued to perform and in 2016 she released her own song Safe Drive Stay Alive, in aid of Greater Manchester's Safe Drive campaign.

The youngster also released three other songs on her YouTube channel and has performed at a number of small festivals.

Fans of the singer-songwriter may have seen her take the stage at GBFood Festival, the Lightpool Festival in Blackpool the same year as well as the Blackburn Christmas Light Switch On in 2018.

Ella even supported Peter Andre at a gig in Milton Keynes in 2017.

The BGT finalist is now the founder of Ella Shaw's Academy Of Arts, located in Clitheroe, Lancashire and these days she keeps her fans updated on what she’s up to through her social media account, which has over 11,000 followers.

A self-professed singer/singing coach, Ella has previously shared a backstage snap at a concert where she supported Boyzlife at Relight Festival in Wolverhampton in August 2020.

She told her fans in the caption that she was “back where I belong”.

Ella continues to post clips of her musical performances to her YouTube channel and recently shared a cover of Alicia Keys' If I Ain’t Got You as she told fans: “I’M BACK” on Twitter.

Familiar faces are back with Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams and Alesha Dixon once more in the judging seats.

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly also returned as hosts, watching from the sidelines as the contestants strut their stuff on the stage in order to win a coveted spot on the Royal Variety Show.

ITV bosses were forced to cancel last year's series as the Covid pandemic and numerous lockdowns made it nearly impossible to audition acts.

In 2020, the semi-finals and final were delayed until the autumn and pre-recorded, with Simon Cowell replaced by Ashley Banjo after the media mogul suffered a nasty accident in the US.
