Best Home Cook winner Suzie Arbuthnot to host live cookalong

While we're on lockdown, BBC Best Home Cook winner and Co Antrim native Suzie Arbuthnot will be keeping us entertained - and well fed! - with a live cookalong, to be broadcast on Friday afternoon.

Suzie was crowned this year's winner of Britain's Best Home Cook, after triumphing in the final back in February.

Now, the 36-year-old mum of two has come up with imaginative and scrumptious ways of getting us through self-isolation.

This Friday April 3, at 2pm, Suzie will be showing us how to make some fantastic brownies with a live cookalong in partnership with Belfast Live.

She'll be going live on Belfast Live's Instagram page, and on her own Facebook page, Suzie Lee Cooks. You can tune in to either to follow her going through the delicious recipe, step-by-step.

So, if you want to take part, here's all the ingredients you'll need to make Suzie's brownies:

100g good quality dark chocolate (70% preferable) - melted

100g white chocolate chopped up into pieces

150g salted butter (if only unsalted add pinch of salt)

200g caster sugar

25g brown sugar (if you don't have this just use caster sugar instead)

2 eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

90g plain flour

30g cocoa powder

And here's the equipment you'll need:

20cm x 20cm baking tin - lined with baking parchment or greased greaseproof paper

Mixing bowl

Wooden spoon

Spatula

Electric whisk

Sieve

Scales
