Best guns for Call of Duty: Warzone Season Two

The Season Two update for Call of Duty: Warzone and Vanguard has shaken up the meta quite drastically.

One of the biggest guns affected is the MP-40 which received a heavy nerf, essentially rendering it useless compared to other SMGs available.

The wide array of weapons available in Warzone means that there is plenty of competition, but when narrowing on the fundamentals of each weapon class, there are some contenders which simply can't be beaten.

Read ahead to find out which guns in Warzone are most likely to secure you a victory in any-given match.

Assault Rifles

Kilo 141

The Kilo is an extremely reliable AR in the current meta with its consistent accuracy and solid damage potential at a variety of ranges.

Despite being an old gun in the game, the Kilo has withstood the test of time and has survived many meta changes which definitely earns it a spot at the top of our most recommended ARs.

You can adjust your Kilo loadout to suit your needs, putting a scope on it for long to mid-range combat or getting rid of the scope entirely in favour of close-range fights.

Grau 5.56

Similar to the Kilo, the Grau is an old weapon in Warzone and was once the go-to weapon for any player before receiving a devastating nerf.

But, after many updates, the Grau has emerged as a reliable and powerful weapon that can survive any fight in Caldera.

It's low recoil makes it a reliable AR for landing consistent damage, especially headshots.

Similar to the Kilo, you can build the Grau to suit your needs, but it's probably best for mid-range fights.

XM4

To say the XM4 has been ignored for a long time is an understatement.

It was briefly in the spotlight during the last days of Verdansk before it received a crippling nerf - but after recent updates the XM4 is beginning to return to its former glory.

The biggest advantage to the XM4 is its flexibility - if you want to build it as an SMG or a sniper support you can.

While the XM4 has a small learning curve with its recoil pattern, a little bit of practice will see you mastering this gun in no time.

Copper Carbine

It didn't take long for the Copper Carbine to be hit with nerfs after becoming available in the Season 1 Battle Pass.

Despite this, it is still a strong weapon and has taken the mantle over the previously overpowered Automaton which received even worse nerfs than the Copper Carbine.

While the damage rate for the Copper Carbine is overwhelmingly average, its true strength lies in its high rate of fire and accuracy - therefore, when building a loadout for it make sure you focus on these strengths.

LMGs

Whitley

It's no surprise that the newest LMG added to Warzone is one of the strongest right now.

While it's likely the Whitley will receive some nerfs in the future, right now it's an incredibly strong LMG that can deliver high rates of damage in a short amount of time.

We recommend adding a long-rage scope to the Whitley so you can sustain high rates of fire from a long distance, potentially pinning down enemies at crucial moments.

PKM

The PKM has been slept on for longer than it deserves.

With the right build, this LMG can be absolutely devastating at long ranges, capable of finishing off enemies in an extremely short amount of time.

Similar to the Whitley, we recommend adding a long-range scope to the PKM so you can deal high amounts of damage from a long distance.

SMGs

MAC-10

The MAC-10 used to be infamous for being overpowered, but after some drastic nerfs players were too eager to throw it away while ignoring its sustained high rate of fire.

In a close-range fight, there's nothing quite as reliable as the MAC-10 - if you catch an enemy unaware you'll be able to finish them off before they even know what happened.

The one downside to the MAC-10 is its low magazine storage, if you're going up against multiple enemies it's best to use the MAC-10 to deal sustained damage, rather than aiming to finish them all off with one clip.

Bullfrog

The Bullfrog has always had a cult following in the Warzone community, and for good reason.

Due to its high firepower potential and good range capabilities, the Bullfrog is a perfect cross between an AR and SMG.

With high magazine storage, the Bullfrog is perfect for dealing high amounts of damage against multiple enemies at the same time.

OTs 9

The OTs 9 is a lethal SMG that comes equipped with a staggeringly high fire rate and easy recoil.

Similar to the MAC-10, the OTs 9 is extremely reliable in close-quarter engagements and capable of finishing off enemies in a short amount of time.

When building an OTs 9, make sure to keep high mobility and sprint to fire so you can run around enemies while dealing sustained amounts of damage.

Marksman/Sniper Rifles

Kar98k

The Kar98k is the gold-standard sniper rifle and is capable of downing enemies with one headshot.

When building the Kar98k make sure to keep its high ADS so you can take out enemies at any range quickly and easily.

While the Kar98k is easy to use, it may take some practice to get used to aiming it accurately, but when you get used it it becomes an extremely lethal weapon.

Swiss K31

Similar to the Kar98k, the Swiss K31 is one of the best sniper rifles in Warzone thanks to its high damage and knockdown capabilities.

Its fast ADS speed, quick bolt time and mobility make the Swiss a perfect weapon for any sniper that prefers an aggressive playstyle.
