Best GAA kits of all time from Kerry to Dublin to Tipperary

Over the years, the GAA has churned out some of the greatest jersey designs you'll ever see.

We've put together a list of some of the greatest of all time, and there's one big common denominator: the 1980s.

It seems like the 80s aren't just famous for Offaly ending Kerry's drive for five or Dublin's famous 12 apostles winning an All-Ireland - but rather the mark the jerseys of the decade have left on GAA fans.

Here's some of the best GAA kits of all time:

Kerry - 1985

Greatest comebacks in GAA history after Tiger Woods' stunning Masters victory

We kick it off with a cracker.

This vibrant Kerry shirt is befitting of the great team of that time. The shade of green, the lack of sponsor and the white all just compliment eachother.

Tipperary - 2001

All-Ireland Hurling Championship 2018 quiz: How well do you remember the year Limerick ended drought?

One of the more modern jerseys of the list, this Tipp gem is timeless.

The classic design has been the template for pretty much all of their kits since. One massive pro of this is that the Finches sponsor just fits seamlessly into the shirt - we're big fans of this one.

Dublin - 1983

Dublin add former Mayo coach to backroom team as five-in-a-row bid steps up

Dublin's 1970s, 1989 and 1995 renditions give it fierce competition, but this has to make the cut.

The exquisite shade of blue combined with the classic simplistic crest just work. Throw in the dash of navy and you've got yourself a real looker in this shirt.

Mayo - 1989

Lee Keegan explains why James Horan wouldn't think of implementing alcohol ban on Mayo team

Just look at it.

If only we had jerseys like this to go with the Mayo of the 2010s - although this year's installment does kick it back to this design.

Kerry - 2018

The only true modern classic.

You could argue that this one is eerily similar to the 1985 jersey previously listed - that's why it's here. This retro design coincides with a new generation of Kerry footballers coming through that also boast comparisons of the Kerry of old. Only right they make the breakthrough sporting this beauty.

Offaly - 1982

Ah, Kerry fans won't want to remember this one.

Famously sported by the team that won one of the most famous All-Ireland finals ever, this alternate Offaly kit is so refreshingly simple yet so unbelievably easy on the eye.
