Best Cars By Class In Forza Motorsport

Forza Motorsport is the latest addition to the Forza Series, released in 2023. It features a catalogue of over 500 cars. From old wrecks to iconic F1 cars, it’s got it all. Such a variety makes choosing the right car from each class a challenge.

Driving in Forza Motorsport is all about precision and control. As such, choosing the best wheels from each class can be worth the competitive advantage. This guide breaks down the best car choices from each class and some alternate options.

Classes In Forza Motorsport

Forza Motorsport many different cars

Forza Motorsport splits its cars into a total of 10 different classes based on their PI (Performance Index). It ranges from the mediocre beginner E and D Class all the way up to the skilled top-gear X Class.

Each class has a set PI (Performance Index) limit, ensuring races remain fair and balanced. Upgrading vehicles and tuning them increases the PI of a car, thus allowing cars to upgrade their classes. It also gives players a clear idea of how to build or pick their cars depending on the type of race they’re preparing for.

Class E

Forza Motorsport E Class 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata

Class E is the beginner class, categorizing slower cars with the least performance under the PI limit of 300. The 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata is the top pick in this class; it’s an easy-to-drive, lightweight, and balanced car, making it a solid option for those just starting. However, some tuning may be required to fix the understeer.

Class D

Forza Motorsport 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata Class D

The best car in Class D is again, the 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata. A higher PI rating, ranging from 301-400, allows the car to have better race tyres, which improve vehicle handling and grip substantially, making it one of the easier cars to drive from this class.

Class C

Forza Motorsport Integra R Class C

The 2001 Acura Integra Type R is the best choice in Class C, comes with amazing handling and reliability. The car manages both oversteer and understeer well with adequate tuning, making it the top pick for both casual and competitive drivers in this class.

Class B

Forza Motorsport 1997 Honda Civic Type R

In B-Class, the top pick is the 1997 Honda Civic Type R. It’s fast, lightweight, and handles corners better than most cars in its class. It shines the best on tight, technical tracks thanks to its sharp handling and solid acceleration.

Class A

Forza Motorsport 2015 Formula Mazda

2015 Formula Mazda, being insanely lightweight and having a shorter wheelbase, gives it exceptional cornering ability, much similar to a go-kart, proving to be the best pick among A Class for technical and tight circuits. Alternatively, the 1992 Bugatti EB110 Super Sport has a higher top speed, making it a better option for open and wide tracks.

Class S

Forza Motorsport 1981 Ford #2

The 1981 Ford #2 Zakspeed Racing Capri Turbo takes the crown in this class thanks to its balanced handling and braking. It has the highest PI Rating of 799 in S Class, making it the obvious choice being the best overall balanced car.

Class R

Forza Motorsport 2015 Radical RXC Turbo

The top pick for Class R is the 2015 Radical RXC Turbo. It has excellent handling, strong acceleration, and decent braking, allowing for fast and responsive corner exits with good control when braking; best for tight and controlled tracks. An alternative for speed tracks, being one of the fastest cars in the game, is the 2021 Rimac Nevera.

Class P

2019 Ginetta G60-LT-P1 steals away the top pick for Class P. Having exceptional handling and braking, both rated at 10, allows for precise cornering and late braking. It has a high PI of 981, making it one of the fastest cars in P Class, perfect for tracks demanding a balance of speed, handling, and braking.

Class X

Class X is the top gear class in Forza Motorsports, having only two stock cars with nearly perfect stats. Being priced similarly, they have similar speeds, but the power-to-weight ratio varies, making each car a unique experience.

The 1990 Scuderia Ferrari 641 and 1988 McLaren MP4/4 are pretty much neck to neck, the same in the X-Class. Both have the perfect stats of handling, acceleration, and braking, resulting in a PI Rating of 999, though their top speeds are a bit lower compared to some other cars.

All cars demand skilled driving and extensive tuning if you want to get the best performance out of them on the track. Having the best car doesn’t necessarily guarantee winning, just as Vin Serento quoted, “It’s not the car you drive, it’s the driver who’s driving the car”. It’s essential to put in the time and master these vehicles to become the ultimate racing champion.
