British Airways received low ratings on factors such as food and drink, seat comfort and value for money, reports The Mirror.

Which? surveyed more than 6,500 members on their experiences of flights.

Those who took part were asked to rate factors such as boarding, seat comfort, food and drink, cabin environment, customer service and value for money.

It's the fourth consecutive year that Ryanair has been named the worst short-haul airline in the survey.

At the other end, Aurigny Air Services took the number one spot in the short-haul category.

The airline impressed the most, boasting a score of 82 per cent, although it was closely followed by Jet2, with a score of 79 per cent.

In the long-haul list, Singapore Airlines was rated the best.

It got an overall customer score of 88 per cent and got four and five-star ratings from holiday-makers across all of the categories.
