Best 2XKO settings for less lag and max FPS

2XKO is now out on early access for PC players worldwide, and you can tweak a fair amount of settings to get the best visual results during a match.

While 2XKO isn't visually intensive, you'll still want to avoid lag while aiming for maximum FPS. Like all fighting games, stutters will prevent peak performance in competitive play.

This guide will help you get the best graphics possible, irrespective of how good your system is.

Best tips and tricks for smooth graphics in 2XKO

Before we deep dive into the best visual settings, here are some basic tips to follow.

  • Ensure that your graphics drivers are updated to the latest available version. This is a must-do for any video game. You can do this automatically from the native client (available for both Nvidia and AMD devices), and it will download the latest version. Once installed, you can expect better performance.
  • Disable the V-Sync unless you have really powerful hardware. Doing so will allow you to get smoother performances without making many sacrifices in the visual appeal.
  • While going in with uncapped FPS is a good choice, I have noticed occasional stutters when trying to tag your partner. It's better to cap the FPS until we are a few weeks into the early access.

Let's look at the graphics settings that I have been using in the 2XKO early access.

Best graphics settings in 2XKO

This is the current setup that I am using: AMD Ryzen 5600G, 16 GB of DDR5 RAM, and Nvidia RTX 3060. Here's a set of video settings that I am using currently.

  • Fullscreen mode: Windowed Fullscreen (because I have a multi-monitor setup)
  • Vsync: Off
  • Max Framerate: 60
  • Anti-Aliasing: FXAA
  • Shader Quality: High (Put it to low if your hardware is old)
  • Self-Shadowing: Off
  • Texture Quality: High
  • Detail Quality: High
  • Contrast Reduction: Off
  • Bloom: Low

If you're getting stutters during a match, put Texture Quality and Detail Quality low to make things easier for your hardware.
