The 24-year-old was back in his home town in Portugal on his day off earlier in the week and spoke to local media ahead of City's final two league games of the season.

"I really enjoyed playing against Benfica in the Champions League," Bernardo told Portuguese outlet Sol at the Estoril Open. "It is very good the bet that Benfica has made on youngsters, from Ferro, João Felix, Florentino, to Jota, who has played less. I wish I could take the youngsters from Benfica to Manchester. They are all very good."
