Bergwijn in for Bale, Lo Celso sub - The Tottenham team Jose Mourinho should pick vs Burnley

Tottenham will be looking to get back to winning ways in the league on Monday evening when they travel to Burnley.

In cruise control against West Ham last Sunday as they went 3-0 ahead inside the first 16 minutes, the Hammers somehow left with a point after netting three times in the final eight minutes.

Games at Turf Moor are always tough and Jose Mourinho knows his side will be in for a very hard game despite the fact the hosts haven't won a game so far this campaign.

Making a host of changes for Thursday's win over LASK, Mourinho is likely to do the same again as the likes of Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Tanguy Ndombele come back into the team.

But who should start for the Lilywhites in Lancashire?

We’ve asked our Tottenham writers at football.london to give their thoughts on who should be in Mourinho's XI to face the Clarets. Here is what they had to say:

Alasdair Gold - Tottenham Hotspur correspondent

All of the eight players Jose Mourinho took out of the starting line-up could well return to face Burnley.

There's something fitting about Tanguy Ndombele returning to Turf Moor, the scene of his public humiliation by Mourinho when he was taken off at half-time and criticised afterwards by the Spurs boss.

He returns a very different player to the one who turned out that day though.

Mourinho will have to decide whether Giovani Lo Celso is fit enough to start a match yet.

The same will have to be decided with Gareth Bale, who admitted feeling stiff after the win against LASK.

Steven Bergwijn had a hand in two of the goals against West Ham and might feel he deserves to start again in the Premier League.

There will also be decisions to be made in the centre-back and full-backs slots, particularly if Eric Dier is fit again.

Gold's team: (4-3-3) Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Reguilon; Sissoko, Hojbjerg, Ndombele; Bergwijn, Kane, Son.

Rob Guest - Tottenham Hotspur reporter

It's going to all be about rotation on Monday following the raft of changes Mourinho made in midweek against LASK.

Serge Aurier has done well recently and should come in at right-back for Matt Doherty, with Toby Alderweireld given the nod at centre-back after Ben Davies played there on Thursday.

As Giovani Lo Celso has just returned from injury it may be best to leave him on the bench for now, thus meaning Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Tanguy Ndombele and Moussa Sissoko continue in midfield as was the case against West Ham.

Gareth Bale is another one who probably just needs easing in to help build up his fitness and that means Steven Bergwijn starts on the right in attack with Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

Spurs will once again have a very impressive bench to call on if required in Lancashire.

Guest's team: (4-3-3) Lloris; Aurier, Alderweireld, Sanchez, Reguilon; Hojbjerg, Sissoko, Ndombele; Bergwijn, Kane, Son.
