BENGALURU: In another case, a 51-year-old Jharkhand businessman was cheated of Rs 15 lakh when he tried to get a medical seat for his daughter. Jayanagar police registered a cheating case against two persons based on a complaint filed by Hare krishna Dubey.
Dubey told police two persons identifying themselves as Indresh Dubey and Vikranth Singh approached him in January and promised a medical seat for his daughter in a Bengaluru college.
He accordingly transferred Rs 15 lakh in three transactions. But they went incommunicado after receiving the money.
