Bengals named as a good fit for Washington WR Rome Odunze

Even though the Cincinnati Bengals are right in the middle of a regular season, it’s never too early to start talking NFL Draft.

Chad Reuter, a draft analyst for NFL.com, listed the best team fit for the top five prospects that were on the Senior Bowl prospect watch list, and the Bengals were paired with a wide receiver.

An offer for Bengals fans

Rome Odunze, a 6’3”, 215-pound wideout from Washington, would fit well in Cincinnati, according to Reuter. Here’s what he had to say about it:

The Bengals are building their offense around Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, so they might not be able to re-sign veteran receivers Tyler Boyd and/or Tee Higgins this offseason. Odunze would be an excellent foil for Chase because he possesses the all-around skill set to take a role inside or outside in the Bengals’ offense. He uses his body to box out smaller defenders on shorter routes but can also put second- and third-level defenders in tough spots running over the middle or down the sideline. Burrow would have to be thrilled if this perfect match came to fruition.

In a mock draft over the Bengals bye week, Cincinnati drafted Odunze, so it seems to be a fit that many people think would work out at this point if Higgins doesn’t come back.

The Bengals have done very well drafting receivers in recent years, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see them go after a top talent like the Huskies Odunze.
