Bengals' Jeremy Hill on Cleveland Browns: 'They're not that good'

Nov. 07--Cincinnati running back Jeremy Hill is not impressed with the Cleveland Browns.

The Browns team that routed his Bengals, 24-3, on Thursday night and moved into a first-place tie in the AFC North with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

And the same Browns team that held him to 55 yards rushing in 12 carries with a fumble lost.

Yeah, those Cleveland Browns.

When asked by a reporter if the Browns were better than he expected, Hill replied, ""Oh no, not at all. They're probably worse than I thought, to be honest with you."

He must have been thinking of some other Cleveland Browns, ones that had won no more than five games in each of the last five seasons. Or maybe he's just been so impressed by their success this season -- they improved to 6-3 with the victory -- that he was bound to be disappointed no matter what.

Either way, Hill refused to pay the victors anything resembling a compliment after the game.

"They didn't do anything special to me," said Hill, who threw his helmet in frustration while walking back to the sideline after one of Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton's three interceptions. "I mean, respect to them, they won the game. But that's all I'll give them."

He added: "Those guys, they're not that good. It was on us. We gave them the game, in my opinion. They didn't do anything special. We just gave them the game. They just sat back with coverage the whole day."

Lucky for Hill and the Bengals, they get another shot at the Browns in Cleveland next month. That's apparently when Hill's team plans on exposing its division rival.

"We'll play them again, and we'll see what happens," Hill said.
