Bengals flash back to Joe Burrow’s basketball playing days for March Madness

The Cincinnati Bengals Twitter account looked back on March 18 at some pictures of quarterback Joe Burrow when he was in high school in Athens, Ohio, playing basketball.

With March Madness currently in full force, it’s fair to wonder whether the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft could have made a run in the tournament.

At Athens High School, Burrow averaged 17.2 points per game through his career, according to Max Preps. In his senior season, he scored 19.3 points per game and 6.0 rebounds, so maybe it’s possible he could have made it at the college level.

Bengals fans are certainly happy that’s not the route the quarterback took, but a Joe Burrow Cinderella run through the March Madness bracket would have been a sight to see.
