Bellshill fatal crash: Tributes to 'lovely, wonderful' woman after horror smash

Tributes are pouring in for a 'lovely lady, inside and out' following a fatal car crash just outside Glasgow.

Shamim Rashid died following a horror smash on the A725 Bellshill Bypass on Tuesday, August 30. Glasgow Live previously reported that the 66-year-old lost her life as a result of the three-car collision.

Loved ones have taken to social media in their droves to pay tribute to Shamim. In public posts, Shamim is hailed as, 'a wonderful person' and a 'good friend' who 'will be missed'.

One wrote: "We lost our beautiful friend in car accident. Shamim Rashid was a wonderful person; very loving and caring."

Another posted: "Shamim Rashid was such a lovely lady, inside and out."

A third commented: "So sad to hear this. She was very lovely and sweet friend."

Another added: "She was the most loving woman."

A fifth wrote: "Very, very sad news. I can't believe that she is not with us now.

"She was lovely person, a good friend and always smiled."

Another commented: "She was in my art class, she will be missed."

On September 7 police launched an appeal for information or dasham footage as part of their probe into the crash.

Sergeant Gemma Blackadder previously said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Shamim. Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and anyone with information or dashcam footage should contact officers on 101 quoting incident 2323 of 30 August, 2022.”
