Belfast weather forecast for Wednesday set for rain

The Met Office say it's set to be a cloudy day on Tuesday with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times.

According to the weather forecast for January 13, this will be especially across Antrim in the morning, but becoming lighter in the south and west.

A yellow weather warning for heavy rain is currently in place in Northern Ireland until 3am on Thursday morning.

It's set to become much milder later on Wednesday, with west or southwesterly winds. Maximum temperature 11 C.

For tonight, the forecaster said: "Cloudy with further rain at times this evening then becoming drier overnight with some clear spells. Mostly light northwesterly breeze setting in. Minimum temperature 5 C.

It's predicted to be a mostly dry and bright day on Thursday with some good sunny spells across the province. There's a chance of a few showers near the north coast. There will be mostly light winds with a maximum temperature of 8 C.

It's a bright start on Friday, with cloud and rain set to arrive in the afternoon.

The Met Office added: "Rain overnight and early Saturday then sunshine and showers for the rest of the weekend."
