Belfast weather forecast for Thursday predicts afternoon sun and highs of 21C

It looks like we are set for another day of fairly glorious weather in Belfast and beyond.

Overnight mist should clear on Thursday morning, August 26, giving way to a dry, bright and warm afternoon.

The cloud is forecast to linger until around 2pm, according to Met Office, when it will hopefully turn to sunny intervals and then pure sunshine until the sun sets around 8.30pm.

Highs of 21C are predicted to hit Belfast, dropping between 14C and 17C through the night.

And across Northern Ireland, the picture is looking fairly similar.

Met Office said: "Low cloud and fog gradually clearing through the morning, although patchy cloud may linger across the east until early afternoon.

"Otherwise dry with some warm sunshine, cooler on the north and east coasts.

"Maximum temperature 24C."

We can also expect some lovely moments across the bank holiday weekend.

Friday, August 27 is forecast to be another dry day across Northern Ireland, with patchy cloud and sunny spells.

It is likely to be a little cooler than Thursday, with maximum temperatures of 23C, but should still feel warm in light winds.

"A good deal of sunshine" is also forecast by Met Office on Saturday, August 28.

It is expected to be cloudier on Sunday and Monday, but still some sunny spells.
