Belconnen drive-by shooting not bikie related, police believe

Several shots were fired from a car at a Melba home on Friday night, police say.

Police do not believe the drive-by shooting is related to bikie gangs.

"About 10.15pm, police received reports of shots fired from a vehicle," police said in a statement.

"A crime scene was established, and AFP Forensics attended to examine the scene. A number of bullet holes were found. No one was injured in the incident."

Police ask anyone with information, dash-cam or CCTV footage to contact police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website and quote reference 6516938.
