'Beautiful' mum, 31, was training to be a nurse before sudden death

Tributes have flooded in for a mum who died after waking from a nap "sweating" and feeling poorly.

Ashleigh De-Andrade had returned home to Southport following a weekend away at Haven Hafan y Môr Holiday Park in North Wales. She had enjoyed the time away with her fiancé Jordan Nimmo and three sons Jacob, 12, Noah, 10, and Lewi, three.

The 31-year-old went for a nap on April 26, but a few hours later she woke up with a temperature. Ashleigh was rushed to hospital where she suffered several seizures and was put in an induced coma.

The mum-of-three died later that day. Friend Lauren Guest, 25, said it is believed Ashleigh suffered from a bleed on the brain and meningitis.

Lauren told the ECHO Ashleigh was "absolutely fine" in the weeks before her death. She said: "It was all really quick and sudden so it makes it even more devastating.

"They came back on Sunday (April 23) after being away with her three boys and partner. She didn't feel too good so she went up to bed for a little sleep.

"Her partner woke her up a few hours later. She was sweating. He took her to hospital to get checked and she had a couple of seizures in hospital."

Since publishing Ashleigh's story dozens of tributes have been paid. Writing on the ECHO Facebook page Sandra Gilfoyle said: "So, so sad, thinking of you Lesley, Angela and all the family on the devastating loss of your beautiful daughter Ashleigh. Condolences to her partner and their beautiful boys."

Julie Brandham added: "Heartbreaking. Sending love and strength and prayers to family and friends." Jenny Foster also said: "It was such a pleasure to know you Ashleigh you will be sadly missed [from] all the family."

Lauren and friends who met Ashleigh at Edge Hill University, where she was in her second year studying to become a mental health nurse, have set up a Gofundme page to support partner Jordan and her children at this time.

Paying tribute, Lauren said Ashleigh talked about her three sons all the time who were her "pride and joy". The mum-of-three was in the process of planning her wedding before she died.

Lauren said: "I don't even think there's enough words to describe her. She was beautiful inside and out. She'd do absolutely anything for you. She was a happy little soul.

"She was so excited to be a nurse. She was always the one if some of us were struggling [with exam preparation] who said 'come on you can do it.' She was always so positive.

"Her and her partner were getting married in the near future. She had so many plans for when she qualified."
