Bears rookies Kyler Gordon, Jaquan Brisker have cleared concussion protocol

The Chicago Bears are coming off a much-needed bye week, where they’re preparing to face the NFL’s best team in the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15. And there’s good news on the injury front as the Bears are getting back their top rookies, cornerback Kyler Gordon and safety Jaquan Brisker.

Gordon and Brisker have missed the last two games with concussions. But Bears coach Matt Eberflus shared that both had cleared concussion protocol, which means they’re in line to return to the lineup Sunday.

“It’s important that we do a good job of ramping them up,” Eberflus told WBBM Newsradio 780, via Audacy. “They haven’t done much for the last three weeks.

“It’s going to be exciting to get those guys back. They’re both really good rookies and having a good year. We’re excited about that.”

Gordon has totaled 55 tackles, one interception, four pass breakups and one forced fumble in 11 games this season. Meanwhile, Brisker has totaled 73 tackles, one interception, three sacks, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and one pass breakup in the same span.

Chicago will host a red-hot Philadelphia squad that’s trending toward a Super Bowl appearance. They’ll need all the help they can get when they face MVP-candidate, quarterback Jalen Hurts, and this high-powered Eagles offense, featuring receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith.
