Bears' Ray McDonald facing civil lawsuit in sexual battery case

May 07--The woman who accused Bears defensive lineman Ray McDonald of raping her last December filed a cross-complaint Wednesday accusing McDonald and linebacker Ahmad Brooks, McDonald's former 49ers teammate, of sexual battery on the same night of the alleged rape.

The woman alleged McDonald thought she was dead after she slipped on the pool deck at his house and lost consciousness for eight minutes, the San Jose Mercury News reported. She claims McDonald did not call 911 because he didn't want a dead woman found on his property.

The woman regained consciousness and subsequently fell several times due to the initial head injury and her alcohol consumption, the complaint reportedly asserts. The woman accused Brooks of molesting her while she was unconscious and McDonald of carrying her to bedroom and having non-consensual sex with her.

In a civil lawsuit filed Wednesday, the woman claims there is video evidence to corroborate her accusations of what happened poolside.

McDonald has not been charged in the case, which centers on the woman's and McDonald's disagreement over whether the sex was consensual. McDonald has told investigators they also had sex multiple times the following day. He remains subject to discipline by the NFL, pending the outcome of the case.
