Bears GM Ryan Pace: Should he stay or should he go?

We’re just a couple of days away from some potential big changes within the Chicago Bears organization as they wrap up the season Sunday in Minnesota. And all eyes will be on George McCaskey after the game.

While head coach Matt Nagy will be fired, perhaps as early as Sunday night, general manager Ryan Pace’s future remains uncertain at this point.

There are some who believe Pace will remain with the organization in some capacity, be it as GM or perhaps being promoted to head of football operations. Others believe McCaskey will ultimately just part ways with both Nagy and Pace, as it would be difficult to justify keeping Pace.

Still, the overwhelming belief among those around the NFL is that the Bears will decide to keep Pace with the organization. Which could have some repercussions in the organization’s head coaching search.

There’s an argument for keeping and firing Pace, depending on who you talk to. Pace has shown he has an eye for talent in the draft process, as evidenced most recently by his last two draft classes. But there’s more that goes into being a GM than just scouting talent, and Pace has struggled addressing needs on the roster and with the salary cap.

The good news is we’re going to get clarity on the entire situation, whether Pace stays or goes. It’s just a matter of when, as the Bears could choose to delay their decision rather than make an announcement on Monday or Tuesday.

But what do you say, Bears fans? Should the organization part ways with Pace?
