Beachside cottage in middle of Welsh golf course goes up for sale for first time in 50 years

Golf and the beach. For some people this is the absolute perfect weekend.

Well there is a house available where you could combine both of these things every day as a cottage located in the middle of a beachside golf course on the Llŷn Peninsula has been placed on the market. Morfa Gorse in Abersoch enjoys stunning views of the coast and nearby beach thanks to its unique position.

The former fisherman's cottages have been renovated and extended to form one big single-level home that comes with a separate chalet which was built more recently. But despite the rustic charm of the cottage itself the main selling point is undoubtedly the location.

On the market for the first time in 50 years the £650,000 cottage occupies a picture postcard spot right in the middle of the village's golf course just 300m away from the main beach. It comes with a barbecue area and a patio to enjoy the views – though one of the property's most important features can be found outside.

That is the massive golf net that covers the property and protects it from wayward golf balls. It's not normally an essential safety feature but when your house stands in the middle of an 18-hole golf course there's no living without one.
