BBC The Apprentice viewers complain about 'nasty' interviews and vow never to watch again

BBC staple The Apprentice found itself inundated with complaints after the five remaining contestants were put under fire and harsh critique from Lord Alan Sugar's team.

Dani Donovan, Megan Hornby, Victoria Goulbourne, Rochelle Anthony and Marnie Swindells had their business plans completely brutalised by a panel of Claude Littner, Karren Brady, Mike Soutar and Linda Plant, with Baroness Brady at one point saying that Megan's plans had 'no depth or substance', dubbing it as 'crazy as it comes'.

And while the show is notorious for its brutal feedback between Sugar's staff and contestants, some fans feel as though the Baroness and other figureheads overstepped the mark during last night's episode.

One, wrote: "This year's cohort has been really poor. Not sure if will watch final as I don't have any interest in either of the final two businesses. This show has become what ever other reality show has turned into. Such a shame. #TheApprentice," while another, added: "Clueless Interviewees, ghastly Interviewers especially Karen & Linda. Probably the worst interviews episode of #TheApprentice."

A third, penned: "The Apprentice is on in the background. Anyone else feel this deliberate humiliation during the interviews feels really dated and unnecessary? Actually think the candidates are coming across a lot better than the interviewers," while a fourth, replied: "I hate the apprentice."

Someone else, berated: "Is The Apprentice still going ? It was dull ten years ago," while another, went on: "Why are they so rude on the apprentice."

A seventh, complained: "I've been watching #theapprentice since season 1 and has always been one of my favourite shows. But the interview stage tonight wasn't entertaining. It was pure cringe. Older people bully young people and provide little worthwhile feedback if at all any."

While an eighth, said: "These interviews are so hard to watch on the apprentice oh my god."

Fans had a lot to say of the latest instalment of the BBC show (BBC)

However, others were in agreement with the grilling and harshness of the show. One, said: "People complaining that the interviews last night on #TheApprentice were "bullying". You're pitching for investment, know your numbers, know your business plan, have a full business plan, don't copy/paste an NDA at the start of your plan... They weren't harsh enough in my view."

A second meanwhile, continued: "This was a slay #theapprentice," with a third, penning: "Thursday nights are my fav! The Apprentice evening."
