BBC Strictly semi-finals: When are the live shows and results on and who is in it?

Those tuning into BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday night might be wondering what has happened to Strictly Come Dancing. The ballroom competition has long been a Saturday night staple but for the last two weeks the schedule has received a shake-up.

This is to make way for football coverage as the World Cup continues in Qatar. Last week the quarter-final live shows took place on a Friday, while the results took place on Saturday. The semi-final shows have also changed, with no episodes scheduled whatsoever on Friday, December 9, or Saturday, December 10.

Instead, the semi-finals, which will see the remaining celebrities and their professional partners perform two routines, will take place on Sunday, December 11. The results of the semi-finals won't be revealed until Monday, December 12.
