BBC Strictly's Amy Dowden reveals wardrobe dilemma ahead of live show

Strictly Come Dancing's Amy Dowden has shared a glimpse behind the scenes before the competition's live show. The Welsh professional dancer, who hails from Caerphilly, took to the dance floor alongside celebrity partner James Bye for Movie Week.

The duo danced the Cha Cha Cha to Hooked On A Feeling from Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. James dressed up as Chris Pratt's character Star-Lord while Amy painted herself green to look like Gamora.

However, the green paint made it difficult for Amy backstage, who roped in fellow professional dancers Katya Jones and Dianne Buswell to help her out with a wardrobe dilemma before taking the stage. Sharing a clip of the pair lifting up her trousers while she stood with her arms in the air, Amy wrote: "When your trousers need pulling up but you've just had your hands painted green."

The 32-year-old added: "Can always rely on your girls @katyajones @diannebuswell." In the clip, which Amy posted on her Instagram story, the Strictly theme tune could be heard playing on stage as the Welsh dancer and her co-stars stood in the wings.

Amy and James received 22 points from the judging panel for Movie Week, a score that saw them land on the bottom half of the leaderboard. Craig Revel-Horwood awarded Amy and James just 4 points, while the rest of the judges gave them six each.

Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe and Matt Goss and Nadiya Bychkova fell just behind Amy and James after they both received 21 points. Meanwhile, Tony Adams and Katya Jones scored 18 in total. You can see the leaderboard in full here.
