BBC Radio 4’s Edward Stourton dies aged 68

  • Broadcaster and journalist Edward Stourton has died at the age of 68, according to the BBC .
  • He was diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2014 but continued to work until recently.
  • Stourton's career spanned over 40 years, including a decade as a presenter for BBC Radio 4 's Today programme.
  • His extensive broadcasting roles also included presenting BBC One's One O'Clock News , The World At One , and Sunday .
  • Jonathan Munro, the interim chief executive of BBC News and Current Affairs, said it was “far too soon to lose Ed”.
