BBC newsreader Huw Edwards has reportedly chased a burglar out of his home, while he was still wearing pyjamas.
The 58-year-old was woken in the early hours by an intruder in set about giving chase down a South London street.
Brave Huw, who lives in Dulwich, found a burglar in his home at 5.30am and looked to take on the intruder before they took off in Huw's Mercedes.
A source told The Sun: “Huw was a whisker too late.”
The intruder was probably lucky that Huw didn't get his hands on him, as the BBC star has taken up boxing as part of his new diet and fitness regime.
He has been given lessons by former British and European light welterweight champ, 64-year-old Clinton McKenzie.

Huw is reportedly "in good shape" and has lost three stones since looking to overhaul how he lives.
The Welshman, who is a father of five, reportedly ran downstairs after hearing the burglar and looked to confront him despite still being dressed in his nightwear.
The source continued: “Huw bravely ran out of the house after the burglar, but he was a whisker too late.

“He saw the criminal driving off in the car and trudged back to the house.
“He put it down to one of those things which happen when you live in a city."
Police were called to Huw's house, where forensic checks were carried out, with fingerprints and DNA samples being taken.
The Mercedes was recovered the following day and detectives are still investigating the break in.
The Met Police confirmed: “All lines of inquiry are being pursued. No arrest has been made at this stage.’
“Police were called on September 16 to a report of a burglary, and that a Mercedes had been stolen. There was no reported injury.”
