Electronic Arts has announced the open beta dates for Battlefield 6, giving fans an early chance to try the game before its full release in October. The beta will be split into two sessions, with early access available for select players through Battlefield Labs, Twitch Drops, or promo codes.
Battlefield 6 features classic multiplayer modes, reworked classes, and a new destruction system that adds more chaos to every match. If you’re curious about how it stacks up against other FPS titles like Call of Duty, the open beta is your chance to jump in and experience it for free.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Battlefield 6 open beta.
Battlefield 6 open beta dates

The initial Battlefield 6 open beta weekend is scheduled from 3am CT, Thursday, Aug. 7, to 3am CT, Sunday, Aug. 10. Access on Aug. 7 and 8 is limited to early access players, those with invites, Twitch Drops, or Battlefield Labs access, while beta test on Aug. 9 and 10 is open to everyone.
The second beta kicks off on 3am CT, Thursday, Aug. 14, and runs through 3am CT, Sunday, Aug. 17, with full access available to all players throughout the event. Both open beta weekends are available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S platforms.
How to play the Battlefield 6 open beta early access

To get early access to the first Battlefield 6 beta weekend, you have three options: join Battlefield Labs, claim Twitch Drops, or pre-order the game. Players already enrolled in the Battlefield Labs program are automatically granted entry to the early beta. If you’re not part of the Labs, you can secure access by watching select Battlefield 6 streams on Twitch and earning Twitch Drops on July 31. However, the Twitch promotion is already done, although EA might hold another one a few days before the early access starts.
Another guaranteed way to join early is by pre-ordering the Battlefield 6 Phantom Edition, which includes early beta access as part of its bonus content. The Phantom Edition is priced at $99.99 / £89.99 and includes additional digital rewards. For those eager to dive into the action, this is your best bet to experience the game before the public launch.
