Battlefield 6 Season 3 arrives in May 2026

Season 3 starts in May 2026 and will bring back two of Battlefield’s most iconic maps and launch Ranked Play for REDSEC Battle Royale.

The Railway to Golmud map is highlighted as Battlefield 6’s largest map yet, spanning vast landscapes and featuring dynamic train routes that can be used for transportation or ambushes. The map is designed to support large-scale, objective-based gameplay, with multiple capture points and vehicle lanes.

The other returning map is Cairo Bazaar, an updated take on Grand Bazaar that brings detailed urban environments, narrow alleys, and tight close-quarters combat. EA is promising reworked map flow and new objective layouts to make the return feel fresh and competitive.

Season 3 also marks the launch of Battle Royale Solos and Ranked Play for REDSEC Battle Royale, introducing leaderboards and skill-based matchmaking. This is the first time REDSEC players can climb a ranked ladder, which includes:

  • Rookie
  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Master
  • Elite

Each rank comes with its own set of rewards and titles.

Battlefield 6 Season 4 arrives in July 2026

Season 4 is the biggest naval warfare update in Battlefield history, and it’s scheduled for July 2026. EA is bringing back Naval Warfare with two massive maps – Tsuru Reef and Wake Island, both featuring aircraft carriers with operational flight decks.

The maps are designed to support land, air, and sea combat, with new naval vehicles like fast attack boats, destroyers, and submarines. Players can engage in dogfights, naval skirmishes, and amphibious assaults, all in the same match.

Season 4 also introduces Custom Lobbies and Spectator Mode, which allow players to host private matches and watch others play in real-time.

Battlefield 6 Season 5 arrives in Fall 2026

Season 5 is the final seasonal update of 2026, and is designed as a holiday gift for the community, although a final date is yet to be confirmed.

EA will be dropping three new maps in one season, a first for Battlefield. The devs are also promising quality-of-life updates and map reworks for the final season.

Server Browser will finally arrive in Battlefield 6

A Server Browser with Persistent Servers is coming before the end of 2026, using which you’d be able to host or join custom games. EA is also returning Platoons and introducing Proximity Chat, which allows players to communicate in real-time with nearby squadmates.
