Batman crew bring in water truck as Glasgow not WET enough for filming

Whatever your thoughts are on Glasgow, one thing we can all agree on is that we're not exactly short of dreich weather.

So it was rather ironic to see a lorry being used to dampen the street at the Batman film set near the Necropolis this afternoon –  a jet vac from a waste management company from Dalmarnock, FYI.

Blockbuster movie The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson as the Caped Crusader, is being shot in and around the city this weekend as Glasgow is transformed into the dark city of Gotham.

It seems continuity was something of an issue for the film crew as the city faced off rain, wind and snow showers over the last few days.

We told how Pattison's stunt-double has been spotted  on his 'Batbike' filming high-speed chase scenes through the cemetery, where crowds of locals are braving the elements to try and get a sneak peek of sequences being filmed.

It has emerged that a former psychiatric hospital in Hartwood in North Lanarkshire is set to double up as Gotham Orphanage with filming taking place there in tandem with the city shoot.

And if that's not exciting enough, it's rumoured the cathedral will be 'blown up' during the movie as part of a big funeral scene.

The Batman is set to hit screens on 25th June 2021 in both the UK and USA.
