Bastille to headline Depot at the Castle in Cardiff next summer

The fifth Depot at the Castle will see indie band Bastille headline the summer festival in the heart of Cardiff. Based in the castle grounds, previous DEPOT in the Castle headliners over the years have included Kaiser Chiefs, Tom Grennan, Ella Eyre, Clean Bandit and The Fratellis.

The band will make their Cardiff Castle debut at next year’s two-day DEPOT in the Castle on Saturday, July 8 2023. Other acts over the weekend have not been announced quite yet.

Back in 2014, Bastille won Best Breakthrough Act at the BRIT Awards. Now, with over 11 million records sold, six UK Top 40 singles (including ‘Pompeii’, ‘Of The Night’ and 2018’s collaboration with Marshmello ‘Happier’), and over 1.5 billion video views, Bastille continue to be one of the world’s most streamed bands.

Nick Saunders, founder of The DEPOT said: “We are thrilled to be bringing Bastille to the Welsh capital next summer; we love watching the sun go down whilst listening to some fantastic live music - and there's no better venue than the castle!"

Tickets for the Bastille gig go on sale at 9am on Friday, November 25; pre-register now by clicking here.

Bastille are just one of the huge acts coming to Cardiff next summer for a big outdoor gig. Harry Styles and Coldplay are already announced for the Principality Stadium and The Chemical Brothers will be at Alexandra Head in Cardiff Bay on September 9, 2023. Sting is also bringing his My Songs tour to the castle next summer.
