Baseball fan removed from Wrigley Field after climbing net to retrieve bat

  • The bat belonged to Milwaukee outfielder Sal Frelick and became lodged about 10 feet up the screen in the sixth inning.
  • The fan successfully pulled the bat into the seating area after scaling the netting.
  • Security initially removed the fan from the stands following the incident.
  • The fan later returned to the cheers of the 41,078-strong crowd, the Cubs' largest attendance this season.
