Barnsley name their price for striker linked with Nottingham Forest move - report

Cauley Woodrow is another striker attracting interest from Championship clubs desperate to add firepower to their squads this month.

The Barnsley frontman has netted nine times in what has so far been a season of struggle for the Tykes on their return to the second tier.

Woodrow’s impressive form has seen Nottingham Forest, Bristol City and Leeds United all said to be eying his services.

To prize him away from Oakwell would cost £7m according to our colleagues at Mirror Football, who say the Yorkshire club are determined to hold onto their star man, who netted 16 times during last season’s promotion campaign.

The 25-year-old is the latest striker to see his name linked with a move to the City Ground, with boss Sabri Lamouchi desperate for reinforcements to relieve the pressure on 14-goal talisman Lewis Grabban.

Forest have seen their name attached to a plethora of attacking options already this month, including Aston Villa’s Jonathan Kodija, Billy Sharp, Dwight Gayle, Che Adams and Eddie Nketiah.

Woodow is currently side-lined through injury having picked up a hamstring injury which kept him out of the defeat at Derby and FA Cup win at Crewe on Sunday.
