Barcelona Planning To Sign Erling Haaland As Future Lewandowski Replacement

Tottenham outbid Barcelona to sign Lucas Bergvall, beating transfer competition

Barcelona is reportedly planning a move to sign Manchester City striker Erling Haaland in 2025, as per Mundo Deportivo. The Catalan club sees the 23-year-old as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski and hopes that securing Haaland's services will persuade current manager Xavi Hernandez to remain at the helm. Barcelona's leadership has been impressed by Xavi's development of young talents within the squad and aims to make a significant signing in the future to entice him to stay.

Haaland, who has netted 29 goals in 35 matches for Manchester City this season, is under contract at the Etihad Stadium until 2027. Previous reports have also linked the prolific striker to Barcelona's arch-rivals, Real Madrid.

Other Transfer Rumors and Speculations

Barcelona is reportedly monitoring Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram as a potential midfield addition this summer. The 23-year-old has attracted interest from the Catalan club, with sporting director Deco reportedly impressed by his performances in Ligue 1.

Manchester United could offer a lifeline to on-loan Borussia Dortmund winger Jadon Sancho if they secure the services of Southampton sporting director Jason Wilcox. The Red Devils are considering reintegrating the 24-year-old, who previously faced uncertainties under manager Erik ten Hag.

Meanwhile, Everton's Jarrad Branthwaite has emerged as a defensive target for Manchester United. The 21-year-old center-back has impressed with his displays for the Toffees this season and earned his first call-up to the England national team last month.

Bayern Munich may consider loaning out winger Bryan Zaragoza in the upcoming transfer window, with Rayo Vallecano reportedly monitoring the 22-year-old's situation. Zaragoza has struggled for game time in the Bundesliga this season, prompting Bayern to explore potential replacements like VfB Stuttgart's Chris Führich.

Rangers are reportedly in talks to secure Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Fábio Silva on a permanent deal. Negotiations have been ongoing, with the Scottish club hopeful of reaching an agreement despite previous valuation challenges. Silva has contributed two goals in 10 league appearances during his loan spell at Rangers this season.
