Trent Alexander-Arnold was already a Liverpool player with bags of potential and a bright future but on Tuesday evening he improved his reputation ten-fold and that has led to praise aplenty.
Liverpool fans will be particularly impressed with the kind words offered up by Barcelona great Cesc Fabregas, who took an opportunity post-match to shower praise on Alexander-Arnold .
The 20-year-old defender was sensational at Anfield as Liverpool came back from a 3-0 first-leg deficit to beat Barcelona 4-0 on the night and 4-3 aggregate to progress through to the final of the Champions League .
Alexander-Arnold was very impressive as he defended resolutely and also created goals for Georginio Wijnaldum and Divock Origi, with the latter a clever quick corner which caught out the Barcelona defence.

It was this moment in particular which had Fabregas hailing the England international post-match for his 'intelligence' and 'vision' in such a crucial moment.
"Alexander-Arnold, 20 years old," the former Arsenal and Chelsea star tweeted.
What Liverpool owner John Henry told Jurgen Klopp on the phone after Liverpool beat Barcelona
"People will tell me it's bad defending, I'm telling you it's pure intelligence and vision."
Alexander-Arnold will now likely feature for Liverpool in the Champions League final in Madrid on June 1, with the Reds set to face either Ajax or Tottenham Hotspur.
