Former Liverpool forward Emile Heskey thinks the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid would be wasting their time if they came calling for Jurgen Klopp in the near future.
Klopp led the Reds to the cusp of their first top-flight title in 30 years prior to the suspension of football across the globe, with Liverpool set to lift the Premier League title when the 2019/20 resumes as expected.
That success would follow on from winning the Champions League in June, as Klopp has developed and revolutionised his squad ever since replacing Brendan Rodgers back in October 2015.
Ex-Red Heskey, who scored 60 goals for Liverpool in 224 games between 2000 and 2004, is impressed with the job the German has done, and thinks he's in it for the long haul at Anfield having signed a new deal until 2024 back in December.
"There is always an option that Klopp could leave to join a club like Real Madrid or Barcelona but I don’t think that Klopp is finished with the project that he has started at Liverpool," Heskey told GentingBet.
"They are moving into a new training facility, they are really getting to where they feel that they can be when it comes to being recognised as an international brand as a football club.
"Klopp has really put them on the map there. I think Klopp still feels like he has a lot to do. So, I don’t think the fans will be overly worried about Klopp leaving."
Liverpool were due to move into their new training facility in Kirkby for the beginning of next season, but the coronavirus crisis has seen construction delayed and they may now stay at Melwood for the 2020/21 campaign.
