Banjo‑Kazooie is the top Xbox Player Voice request, and fans are still pushing for a comeback

For those not in the loop, Xbox has been running its Player Voice feedback forum for quite some time now, giving fans the opportunity to cast their votes on what they want to see from Xbox.

While my colleague Jez Corden did a fantastic job covering the community’s most requested features and the likelihood of them happening, I’m instead here to beg upon the stars because the most requested game on Xbox’s Player Voice feedback forum- and wow, is that a mouthful- is none other than Banjo-Kazooie.

Yes, Banjo-Kazooie, the forgotten franchise, or at least one seemingly forgotten by Xbox anyway. Now, I myself, to this day, believe that Banjo-Kazooie could have been a mainstay figure alongside the likes of Master Chief in terms of franchises associated with Xbox, but unfortunately the series never got much love afterBanjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, which I still to this day believe was a pretty good game despite what others might think about it.

Now, over to the feedback forum. Having gone through the list of requests, Banjo’s return ranks within the top 50 requests overall, but as far as I can tell, it beats out every other game-related request on the forum.

The next closest game request after Banjo is simply a request to bring Halo Wars 2 to Steam, which again is another great shout, and honestly, it’s kind of criminal that it’s never happened because it feels like just free money sitting there for Halo Studios.

With Banjo-Kazooie seemingly being the most requested franchise revival, however, I instead want to extend the question over to you. What franchise, whether forgotten or seemingly on its last legs, would you like to see get some more love?

Personally, I think back to the Xbox 360 days with games like Kameo, Viva Piñata, Blue Dragon, and Crackdown. Even further back, I think of Blinx and, of course, Perfect Dark, but that’s just me.

I’d love to know where you stand, so if you have a franchise in mind, let me know in the comments and be sure to take part in our poll.
