Busted add new dates to their 2023 UK reunion tour as tickets go on sale

Pop-punk band Busted have added six new dates to their upcoming UK tour due to huge demand, including an extra date in London.

The band have also added extra dates in Birmingham, Nottingham, Cardiff, Manchester, and Glasgow, after the original dates of their 15-date reunion tour sold out on Friday, March 31.

The trio, whose hits include Year 3000, Crashed The Wedding, and What I Go To School For, originally formed in 2003 before splitting in 2005. They later reformed for an arena tour in the UK and Ireland in 2016.

Now they’re releasing a new album to mark their 20th anniversary.

Members Charlie Simpson, Matt Willis, and James Bourne had appeared to be hinting earlier in March that something was afoot with a series of cryptic posts on social media.

They finally put fans out of their misery when their official Twitter account confirmed that they would be re-teaming to mark two decades since they first formed.

“Busted is back!” they wrote on the micro-blogging site.

Adding: “A decade is a long time, two decades is an even longer time. We can’t wait to see you,” followed by the hashtag “Busted 20”.

Busted’s 20th Anniversary Greatest Hits Tour will kick off on September 2 in Plymouth and take in a date at the London O2 Arena on September 10.

The supporting acts will be Hanson and New Hope Club.

Busted will also release an album reimagining some of their biggest hits, which will see them team up with the likes of McFly and All Time Low.

The first offering is a new version of Loser Kid, which featured on Busted’s debut album. The track will receive its first radio play on April 14 and will feature pop-rock stars Simple Plan.
