Baked Pizza Al Taglio teams up with Social Bite to raise money for Christmas dinners

Uber-popular Glasgow east end pizza joint Baked Pizza Al Taglio has teamed up with a homeless charity to help raise money for Christmas dinners for those who might go without it.

The Duke Street spot, who specialize in large rectangular roman-style pizza sold by the slice, are working with Social Bite to provide meals for people experiencing homelessness throughout Scotland.

To do so, 50 % of all sales of their focaccia will be donated to the charity, while there will also be a jar of donations at the counter for folk to contribute too as well and 'pay it forward' - with £10 providing for two Christmas meals.

A fantastic gesture from the team at Baked Pizza Al Taglio - which walked away with the Streetfood of the Year award at the Scottish Takeaway Awards back in July of this year.

And in respect of people 'paying it forward', it's worth noting that to date Social Bite has given away more than 140,000 items of free food and drink to the people who need it most.
