In a crossover that wasn’t on my 2025 bingo card, ex-Bachelor Sam Wood has confirmed that Oasis’ Liam Gallagher secretly rented his home during his Australian tour and dished on what the iconic musos left behind.
In case you didn’t see everyone’s IG Stories that featured a written caption that read, “Anyway, here’s Wonderwall”, Oasis recently returned to Australia after 20 years.
Upon their arrival, speculation about the Gallagher Brothers‘ living arrangements Down Under began to surface, with some reports claiming they were staying in Mount Martha during the tour’s Victoria dates. Other rumours claimed that the British rockers were staying at Wood’s Mornington Peninsula home.
Now, with the British musos wrapping up their sold-out Aussie tour, the season three Bachie confirmed that Liam had rented out his home alongside his family and crew.
Appearing on Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Ritchie, Wood revealed he’d never rent out his home before, but made an exception for the “Don’t Look Back In Anger” singer.
“Yeah, it’s pretty random, it’s very cool, but it’s very random. So strange,” Wood began in his mammoth tea spill.
“We’ve never rented our house out before, and got a call from a mate who’s been trying to sort of pester me to rent it out. And he goes, ‘Look, I know you said no, but this might change your mind’. And he said, ‘We think it’s Oasis, and they want to stay there for six nights’. You are bloody kidding me.”
Wood went on to reveal that Liam and his family left a bunch of surprises for him before he left the Bachie’s humble abode.
“They’ve left their ice cream in the fridge and books on the mantelpiece, and they signed a couple of posters for me, and it’s very, very cool,” Wood said before confirming the ice cream was Peter’s Vanilla flavour.
Elsewhere in the interview, Wood dished that Liam, his crew, and reportedly, his two sons, took the opportunity to live like locals while staying at the Morning Peninsula home.
“Apparently, he went down for a little dip in the bay, and he was he was seen at the little Mount Martha Village IGA, just buying some ice cream,” Wood said.
While you’d think Oasis would be the type of band to host some kind of legendary kick-ons that would make Corey Worthington‘s gatho look like a corporate Christmas party, Wood revealed that they had a “good crack on, on one of the nights” after a gig.
“The recycling bin was chockers,” the reality TV star shared.
“They’ve had a good crack on, on one of the nights after one of the concerts.”
Wood added that Liam made use of his home gym, noticing that some of his equipment had been moved around.
“He’d been in my gym… There were a few bits of equipment in sort of weird spots,” he said.
“I don’t know what exercises they’d been doing, but there [were] some wacky sort of set-ups left! I went through a workout on Sunday, and realised he’d been here doing something!”
Overall, it appeared that Liam and his family truly enjoyed their stay in the Bachie’s Mornington Peninsula pad, leaving a sweet message on one of the signed posters for the Aussie reality TV star.
“Did he just sign the post to Sammy, or did he leave a review? Anything else?,” host, Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald asked.
“He just said, ‘Sam and Snez, love Liam Gallagher’ and signed the poster on the kitchen table,” Wood responded.
Honestly, as someone who has perused many One Direction fan-fics, I would say this would be the perfect plot line for an Oasis story on Wattpad.
