Baby cot sold in Ireland urgently recalled over 'child injury' fears

A baby cot sold in Ireland has been urgently recalled over child safety fears.

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission shared the alert for the 'Featherlite Lightweight Travel Cot'.

It was sold on the website of kids company LittleLife.

The CCPC said an issue with the product has been identified where it could become unstable and tip over under circumstances.

This could cause a child could escape the cot and potentially injure themselves.

It is understood that one product has been sold to a customer in the Republic of Ireland.

Anyone affected by the recall is asked to stop using the product immediately and to contact LittleLife directly.

A CCPC spokesman said: "Lifemarque Limited will directly contact the affected customer to inform them about this recall. Lifemarque Limited (trading as ‘LittleLife’) have also highlighted the recall on their website.

"If you believe that you have purchased this product then you should stop using it immediately. You should return the product along with a proof of purchase to the address shown on the recall page on their website and state whether you would like a new replacement version (when available) or alternatively, a full refund. All return postage charges will also be fully reimbursed.
