Baby bunny stolen from adventure park 'will not survive' unless returned

A baby bunny stolen from a theme park in Somerset "will not survive" unless it is returned.

An appeal has been issued after the rabbit was taken from Animal Farm Adventure Park in Berrow yesterday (April 14).

In a post on Facebook, the park urged those responsible to return the vulnerable, three-week-old animal.

A spokesperson said: "One of our baby rabbits has been stolen today.

"It is still on mother's milk and will not survive if it is not returned to us.

"Please look our for neighbours or friends posting about a new rabbit.

"A lot of our customers are on holiday, so please share in caravan groups.

"This bunny desperately needs to be back with its mum."

In a further attempt to locate the missing rabbit, the park then issued a public plea to the guilty party to anonymously drop the animal off in a box.

However, the animal has not been returned and remains missing as of this morning (April 15).

The spokesperson for the park added that CCTV footage was being reviewed.

"We're looking at the footage but it’s unlikely to give us a suspect as the positioning of the camera isn’t showing the exact pen where the newborns are, just people in and out of that building," he said.

"Plus with the weather most people had their hoods up - it's really frustrating."
