B&Q shoppers love 'best heater ever' that costs 6p to run as temperatures plunge

With temperatures plummeting below zero and snow forecast in parts of the UK, millions of people are looking for ways to warm up. And as the cost of living crisis continues to grip the country, the cheaper and more economical a solution the better.

A cheaper halogen heater being snapped up by B&Q and Amazon shoppers is one option for those wanting to keep warm on a budget. The heater is available for £39.99 and is said to cost from as little as 6p an hour to run, depending on the setting.

Shoppers says it's effective, too, with one calling it the "best heater ever" and others saying it provides "immediate warmth" and "masses of heat". The SupaWarm Deluxe Halogen Heater, which oscillates and has three heat settings, has hundreds of five-star reviews online, reported the Manchester Evening News.

One five-star reviewer wrote: "Instant heat, best halogen heater i ever bought, thank you, love it." Another commented: "These heaters are brilliant. I have only used one bar all through the cold spell. It is very cost effective works."

Someone else posted: "Very happy with this as it's very economical and gives immediate warmth. Warms the body rather than the room which is what we wanted. Just 5 mins gives a nice boost to body heat that lasts very well if you layer your clothes on a very cold day.

They added: "Very portable. My husband uses it sometimes in his home office if he feels chilly. Taller than most models and replaceable bulbs available."

One happy buyer stated: "It is small and compact, as I live in an apartment it is the perfect size. I have only used one bar as yet, and that took the chill off the room, nice modern looking too, and does not take up too much room."

Other reviews included: "Good heater that pumps out lots of heat" and "Great fire kicks out masses of heat". Another said: "A lovely looking heater and works beautifully".
