B&Q issues warning to customers about dishwasher which may overheat and lead to fire

An urgent safety warning has been issued over a dishwasher that may overheat and catch fire.

B&Q have emailed customers about a specific model after identifying a safety concern.

The retailer have advised owners to unplug the appliance and not use the dishwasher, and apologised for any inconvenience.

They said the model was on sale between 2012 and 2017.

The model identified is the Cooke & Lewis CLDW451W-C / DI6014 - freestanding slimline white dishwasher. The barcode is 5052931055623.

An email to customers sent on Thursday said: "If you have purchased one of these dishwashers please stop using it immediately, unplug it from the power socket and contact [the helpline] for assistance."
