A huge new B&M store is set to open in Atherton, the budget shopping chain has announced.
It will replace an old store on nearby Shuttle Street, Tyldesley, which closed its doors for the final time last month.
The new shop is to be located at the former Poundstretcher site on Richmond Retail Park in Atherton.
It will be almost double the size of the previous store, with over 32,000 sq. ft. of sales space, and will include a large new garden centre.
And bargain hunters won’t have to wait much longer to get back in to B&M, as the new site will open its doors at 9am on Friday, April 2.
A spokesperson for B&M Atherton, said: “We wanted a bigger and better store for our customers, giving them even more big branded products.
“We hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store, we’re really excited to get the doors open next month."
The former Poundstretcher store at Richmond Retail Park has been closed and empty for some time.
B&M is one of a number of shops which has been allowed to remain open throughout the government's coronavirus lockdown because it is classed as an essential retailer.
While the new store is being completed, customers in Tyldesley will still be able to shop at the Leigh branch of the supermarket, which has remained open at Parsonage Retail Park.
There is also a store at Pavilion Square, in Westhoughton.
